Anzac Day

For those who fought during the wars we remember you.
here is a newspaper note to read.
Australia commemorates its sons and daughters who have served in the nation’s armed forces. Anzac Day is the one day of the year that brings everyone together in a shared experience that gives thanks to those who put their lives on the line for their fellow countrymen and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Australians have been participating in the Anzac Day ceremony in ever-increasing numbers, particularly over the last 20 years. This increase in the public’s awareness of the sacrifices made in the past comes at a time in history that is witnessing the passing of the generations, in particular the ranks of WW11 servicemen and women, whose numbers are beginning to diminish due to the inevitable passage of time.

An earlier generation passed through the same experience when the same thing happened to the WW1 veterans. There are now no survivors in Australia of the “War to end all Wars”.

As time also passes so rapidly even the survivors of the Korean War and the Vietnam conflict are ageing, although these ex military people now fill a prominent place in the Anzac legend and the Anzac Day marches that will take place across the nation today.

It would also appear that it is no co-incidence that the last few Anzac Day commemorations have drawn hugely increased numbers. The world is now a more uncertain place than it has ever been since the end of the last World War.

WOW a month has gone way to fast.

Could someone please get things to slow down. I cant believe its been almost a month that i sat here and typed.

Ok so what have I just been up to.
First the most boring thing was work and more work. I am no longer doing those horrible long days so i should be around for some time however i this last month i have been catching up on a lot of unfinish jobs around the house. So that leaves no stitching done. Yup sorry Mr Stitch but i just been way to busy as seen in this pictures. Most are of the completed garden bed. I am currently working on my second garden bed and yes the raised bed is about knee high yes i am getting tooooo lazy to bend down and dig into low ground. I have already adding some fruit trees to this bed and we are currently growing our winter vegetables. When we are finished doing these beds i will have approximately have 3 long beds about 6m by 1.2m 2 6m by .8m and 1 5m by .8m yep lots of veggies and fresh fruit with Dave not ever to work again i have giving him the job to look after the beds. I constructed the two bed so for with my dad's help. Arent dads wonderful Love ya dad.

Ok so what else been happening with my yep i did say no stitiching. So what else ok with Dave an offer was put on the table but within us saying yes and the lawyer getting back to them it was withdrawn. Why i dont understand but thats the system for you. Dave's had another cortisone injections for his shoulders and this time it didnt work. They say one to two more tries with the cortisone injections then surgery. He saw the worker's comp. specialist the other day and it seem he now has almost understand what we have been going through this time he ask Dave the questions that werent ask before. And said why wasnt Dave back at work ... Joke here : Cos his boss doesnt want another stamp licker....... Dave has to be 100% to do his job and hmmmmmmmmmmmm that can never happen now they are talking about minimum of loss in both hands 10% and from elbows to shoulders 15% so hmmmmmmmmm where does this go from here. All i see for the moment is more hearings and appointments.

Now the kids the two that at high school are doing well got their first report card one i had to pay $150 and the other $250 and the other daughter well she didnt get a report card so she misses out lucky me lol.
School returns next week. yah

From the last time i posted my DS had his 16th Birthday and here when they turn sixteen they can go for their driving license. SO everyone keep of the roads now. LOL I think i will neeed to go out and buy hair dye. yep i gooing to have grey hair on grey hair soon. The first time out was a shocker. However when i took him out the second time he done heaps better. But he will need to go through an instructor to sign off what he has successfully completed it just the way things happen around here. He cant get his "P" until he is 16 and half and completed minimum of 50 hours driving with 10 hours night time.

I hoped everyone enjoyed their Easter and havent got sick of their chocolate yet. I hope not to leave it so long before i write until next time.
