ok its been a bit
With Dave well thats still happening.............
And the kids they are about to go on two weeks break next week. I hear you say yes i can talk to Karen well...........................
Put this way yes there is a possible chance you could but who knows just yet. Arghh cat is clawing me. isnt that the way.ok i got rid of the cat... food does it every time. Ok where was i.
The kids yes they are all well apart from the hayfever.. hehehehe i dont get it but there are 3 members in this household that does.. and Dave is one. Sorry no oh mum from me on that department. Just after the holidays Dale will getting two wisdom teeth remove. ouch. but i not going to say how much its going to hurt cos if i do ..... yes you'll know what will happening.
You notice i left me to last........
ok on with the news. you already know i do long hours. yes i can hear you all groan and saying what have you got yourself into........ they have manage to find more hours for me. I have some students almost finishing and other just starting.....I just dont know where these hours are coming from but i all I know is i am soooooooooooooooooooooooo tired by the end of the week. then i have to catch up on things around here. Thats why you havent been able to talk to me on the weekends. Spring is here and i have been working in the garden for a little bit. Oh yes over the past month or so i have had major back problems i seemed to have compressed some of my lower back disc. ouch that HURTS :( it seems to be getting better with heaps of visits to the chiro. and stretching that back out .......
However i found time to do some stitching yes on my lady and no you cant see what i have done just yet cos it looks like i havent done much. Anna its where the the skirt mets the base of the tree i have been filling in that area. Also i have been trying to teach dale how to air brush his models........ with what little time i have.
Ok i have to go now post on Janyes Attic a question cos there is something i want to do and i cant get onto another site to see the picture.
till next time be safe and do heaps of cross stitching
Monday, September 1, 2008
spring is here
Ok i should say yes but i have also say no cos if i bounce at the moment my back will say ouch ouch. Mucsle spasms is hurty hurt hurty hurts hurts.
With me life has been just moving along one day at a time. It seems at the moment all i do is work and work and then there is no time for me to play sob sob sob.....
I havent even to manage to talk to any of my friends its seems that i have vanished from this planet only in my free time haha do i manage to read all your blogs. I havent even been to any of my favourite cross stitch sites... :( .
OK i know you are all wondering what else has been happening.
MUM drum roll please..........
we will celebrate her yes 60th Birthday tomorrow. we had a Lunch time party for yesterday and she is looking great. Yes she has finished with radiation. I was told today after her appointment that she has been cleared from both chemo and radiation therapy. All she now has to do is see the specialist every couple of month for the next 3 to 5 yrs..... So it looks at this stage that she is through the hard part now its waiting to be cleared after 5yrs.
Now with Dave...... yes i hear the eyes rolling. Ok on the day Anna was leaving we had to see a specialist about his hands. Yes the specialist stated the work has caused the problems but dave's diabetes hasnt help. The hearing was today............................ :( IT STILL going on and on and on and on ok you get the hint. They have taken our specialist view over the work cover specialist view but (yes there is a but to all this) they want more information about the hole we dug for dave's party and yes appartly we dug the pool into the ground and hmmmmmmmmmmmm if i get the photos open from the the external harddrive i can show you the pool sits on the ground and not in the ground cos we knew that we couldnt do it ourselve we would have had to get in a bobcat to move the soil and we couldnt afford that at the time. And the best option and it was cheaper was to get soil brought in. and Dale and I move it.
so thats about it for the moment

Life after Anna
Things are going back to some sense of normalilty. Yesterday after we dropped Anna at the airport we went to Dave's specialist appointment what was i thought was going to be a short appointment well i slipped up we got there at 11.30am and it wasnt until almost 2pm before we went out of there. and it was one of those very high paid doctors.......... Well its going to be interesting it will make a fightable case with the lawyers now....... I was called into the appointment and i got to ask one very important question and yes i got what i wanted to know and drum roll......... the JOB has caused the problem and yes it will be classified as secondary and yes that is what we have been fighting for and the doctor thinks the boss and EML(the insurance company) claim against us was a load of ***** ***.
OK some other news we had to take our dog to the vet and it looks like we might have to make the hard decision in what to do..... It seems that her "fits" were a result of old age and yes she only 8yrs old. We will see what happens within the next couple of weeks.
With my mum the news there seems to be ok... she is doing well with radiation. I have yet to see her. But the calls she sounds great. i think she is half way through it now.
I should go do some cross stitch and yes Anna i might do my lady...... :)
Talk soon

Last week was great we had time away showing Anna the sights....... I do see that time has gotten away from us. Maybe one day she come back and se the rest. :) but we need to head her way for a holiday i think that will be a few years away though. most likely the last post before the end of June
week has been busy but not as busy as the week before. in a couple of hours Anna will be arriving from USA. I hope she likes our mad house. We got some surprises for her while she is here. I must be excited as i have had very little sleep oh well at least tonight we will both sleep well. LOL
On work front last week before 2 weeks break yeah.
Melissa soccer team won on Saturday 3-2(i think) Mel almost scored a goal. It was cup round so if they won their first cup round and Saturdays i think they are heading towards to finals on that however with the normal matches they are sitting somewhere around the top. As soon as i know i will let you know.
on the stitching front............... none :( maybe with Anna here we both will stitch.
3hrs to go and who is excited. :)

Melissa soccer
update on whats been happening in the world of Karen
Yes i survived the 60 hour week just! Saturday evening it was just Dave and I we went and had Chinese for Dinner and in the end we ask for the meal to packed up for take away cos i was so tired.
It always happen it seems that when you get extra money the following week students cant come in to be tutored. so it looks like it all balanced out again. oh well.
In the department of my mum she has had her third chemo at a much lower dose......... she stayed out of hospital this time however she seems to have a cold with it so fingers cross she gets better soon.
With Dave well he has hit depression and i have now asked him to speak to a counselor to help him out........ It because he cant work and we still fighting workcover it doesnt help when you get letters to pay bills that they should be covering........ what do they think we are made of money arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Also we had to race Rosie(dog) to the vets yesterday we think she had a big ft because she has now torn her ligaments in her right hind leg. Up until yesterday she was only having minor ones but i think that all changed. Yesterday poor girl she was really out of it. I am surprise no one her her yelping from here. Over night she slept inside in the computer room and never came into the main part of the house...... i am probably please cos she really stinks..... :) I beleive she will be on these tablets for the rest of her life..... noooooooooo sob sob.
On another note i have one week of work to go but in that Anna arrives from America so it will be nice to at least talk to her live instead of on the computer. Hopefully she will enjoy staying here with the mad house thats happens to be my life.
No stitching at the moment...... to tired to do anything.

i forgot to add
after reading friends blog i thought i better........
but as i read several friends blog it highlight how busy we all are at the moment. I am not looking forward to this coming week. It's just way tooooooo long. Wont bore you with whats happening all i will say is that i will be putting in at least OMG i just did the total hours for this coming week for work. Its going to be around 58hrs. 60hrs if you include the extra driving i have to do with work. some of this i wont get paid until the program i am doing finishes. So i will only get paid for about half of that now.
We are going to the movies this afternoon with my mum and dad to see Narina that should be nice. I should be preparing for work tomorrow but who cares....hehehe
Mum is on her good week this week she goes in for more chemo this Tuesday so again by next week she will be in hospital cos she happens to be one of those one in ........... She does has to be an individual. It something that you dont want to happen on anyone. All i know its taking the energy out of both my parent and me......... My brother well he somewhere around i think maybe heading home after going to Holland to see his wife's family.
No stitching on my front at the moment been to busy doing anything else at the moment.

news from my home front
at the beginning of the week Dave and i celebrated 18 years of wedded bliss.... hehehehehe It was a quiet affair. I also had my mum back in hospital again she decided to crash. It seems that its going to happen every time she going to have chemo..... We are seeing what the doctors will do. What her next step is going to be.
My children are their mischievous selves. Doing what they love doing picking on each other.
Dave had his hearing this week..... it seems that they are still waiting on the medical reports.......... so in my opinion why in the **** did they go ahead with it in the first place...... tax payers money at work here. In July Dave will have at least 2 doctors appointment so that will be interesting then the BIG hearing is set for September....... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm its a long way off yet. So on the front it means work work for me. After today my timetable is Mon to Fri 9am to 7pm with little breaks in between and 4 hrs on Saturday. Yep long weeks for a couple of weeks well at least 12 weeks around the school term. Come on July holidays. So there goes many of my online chats. cry:( Until i finish this government program.
Before i go i hope the parcels arrived. Good night

The week that has been. A B***** long one. LOL I will work my way through the news.
Melissa won her soccer match today7:0 but they lost last weekend 0:5. She had practiced on Thursday and they must have been a bit hard cos she can home sore and ended up with yesterday home from school.
Dave is still not working we got another letter this week asking for another specialist appointment however we going to have a hearing on the 3rd June so that will be interesting. Lets see what will happen there.
We saw my parents today mum is looking good, She had her second course last Tuesday and so far with everything its going good they have to put in a pick(?) into her veins as a way to get blood and do the chemo.
Getting report cards home from the girls they look ok at the moment i wish Cecilia could be doing a bit better but i think she will find her way when she starts high school next year.
Dale well he's been the typical teenager... :)
Me well been toooooooooooo busy earning the money.
We had to take two pets to the vets the other day. Ginn the cat and Rosie the Lab Ginn was easy he had been in a cat fight and i think he came off second best. hehehehe With Rosie we are thinking that she is starting to have fits. they are small ones at the moment all we see is her recovering. We are having to date the days so see how frequent they are. then see what to do.
Oh yes before i go any further there are several international parcels heading out of Australia and landing in two different places in the world. They should be there around Friday...... If i remember i will need to email you to let you know they are coming as i havent been able to talk to any of my friends live cos i am not around enough to talk to them to let them know they have a parceling coming......... argh bugga it they read this so i hope they know who i am talking about... :) Well i am off to do hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sleep hehehehehe some x stitching who knows...

just a 2 minute post

End of week tidbits....
1st thing to mention is my mum i saw my parents yesterday and today. and oh boy my mum now has no hair what so ever and dad informed me about what exactly happened last weekend with my mum and it now makes me even more weary about this next dose. Apart from her kidneys shutting down she also went into cardiac arrest. Apparently flat lined it. thank someone that she got though it. How my dad taking it all i know he is now older than 60yrs.
2nd thing this week is i dont know if I talked about Dave's issue about workcover they have now decided to do a review minus the doctors report again they are the ones who set the specialist appointment and it wont be in time for the review there is a month difference......... eyes rolling here. I think the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing.... that is govn departments for u.
3rd issue.. Apparently it was a nail biter with Melissa soccer(football for those UK people) yes they won 5:4 it came down to the last 60 seconds. they were wet through due to a very heavy rain downpour at the beginning of the match....
4th thing this week is Cecilia had her party and a total of 7 screaming girls arghhhhhhhhhhh
by the end everyone enjoyed themselves and all left high on sugar. hehehehehehe
5th and the most important news of the week my SIL has announced the date of when she is getting married yep its finally happening it wont be until next September but its been the best news yet.
last but not least drum roll please..............
i got out my cross stitching and yes i can see the end its getting closer. its a UFO piece i have been working on the Australian Map... can i ask a question with the papilon SAL now as that is on part 5 and i am working on part 2 is that now called a UFO hehehehehehe
so overall i think the week hasnt been to bad. :)

little cry for Mel
Thanks Julie for letting me know about JA.
Saturday, May 3, 2008
Proud mum
Ok to the proud mum bit........ today i watched my youngest daughter play soccer(For those UK people Football) :) they lost the game 2:1 but for the first match of the season and the first time she has played a game she done well ........ Wahoooo go Mel. She played left defence and head butted the ball several times, got it away from the opposite team. In general she done well even the mum's whose sons play for club stated that she done well....... YES i am getting a big head but i am so proud of her. I going to have to get a picture of her playing....
On the side those who go into JA is there something up cos i cant get in... :( tried everything. I will look at it later.

should i or shouldnt i
Thursday, May 1, 2008
WOW 4 months has flown by and what a year its been. I have spoken to my mum tonight to see how she was.... I think it has finally hit home with her. :( Today was the first day of chemo for her. Fingers cross it works for her. She states at the moment she is fine but we will have to wait a day or two or three before we see how she is going. She is having three different types of chemo.
With work i have been flat chat. hehe nice to bring in the income again but hay i think i need to sleep in this weekend to recover. hehehe
Yesterday came and went with what ever they are doing with my DH claim and its been silent. that means several things.... still looking into it.... we lost or we have been accepted but way things are going trying to look positive they still looking into i want to take the safe bet here. I was told the Dave's boss wont pay for the medical that HE *********(swear word here) made Dave do.... so the cost is now back on us. I am bloody positive his boss doesnt know how to run a damned business... You make an employee go to the Doctor to find out what he/she can or cannot do then you pay for the bill.
let alone that expense we now have an added expense from my darling two older children they were been as children can be little so and so they decided to have a so and so and now we have to replace a broken window. I might see the funny side to that one day.
Side note with uni it seems they still cant answer my questions. I fail one section of the topic but they cant say what will happen? what needs to be done? And after talking to several friends they believe what i think........ that the topic coordinator shouldnt have the job if she cant answer simple question. I do know it states that you must pass both section of the assignment but you do get students bombing out like i did on one part so what the hell happens now? is my biggest question.
On the funny side well i think its funny i received a letter from our government agency to ask if i want to give an estimate income for our next tax year........ they do go off what you estimate for this year then add CPI to it........ i just sat on the bed laughing at what they think as a combine income Dave and i will earn for the coming year. I wish I wish off to work we go :)
On JA i posted what i have done on one of my UFO but what i didnt show was an overall picture. its coming together quite nicely. i will include it in this post. And with the JA monthly challenge the coordinator decided to put all designs that didnt make the challenge for that month up for a second go.... Well this time i wont be voting cos what i choose never make it so this way i wont be disappoint if my choice wasnt the challenge piece of the month..... OR i could be just to damned lazy to vote :) I think i will take the second choice that i am tooooooooo lazy. (or it could mean that i am too busy to decide which one) LOL
Well its time for this little ducky to go to bed.
till next time happy stitching.

...
Yep back to work. It was nice to get any amount of money even if its the small amount i got yesterday at least we have an income coming into the household after two weeks semester break. Time to get saving.
Off to work i go :)
Friday, April 25, 2008
Tuesday, April 22, 2008
It now looks like i will be the main income earner until this case is all settled. The lawyer did mention something about payout......... we didnt want to go down that path and if the lawyer can get it and it all happens well so be it. At the moment Dave is unable to work at all not even in light work cos the way the surgeon has written the letter. No one wants to employ him cos the way the letter is written... Everyone states go look for work and how can he when the other medico's wont clear him. This seems for us to go no where. Look on the bright side i will be working full time.......
I have almost finished Part 1 and 2 on Pal SAL. I can say i didnt kick Mr Frog hard enough last time cos he was still here last night i had to Rip IT several times so i hope this time I gave it one good hard boot and it went flying out the door. I am hoping its somewhere else.
Some good news:
Dave is having a medical for Stratco they say they will have him back. Fingers it all goes well today. I will post later with anything i know.
Other news we received our letter in the mail yesterday about contesting the decision i think Geoff now knows the decision in what we are doing :).
Monday, April 21, 2008
I have finished my semester assignments the other day. It felt like a let down after the two that a did before this one. I will know in the coming weeks how i went.
I have been working on the Pal Sal how does your garden grow. Mr Frog decided to visit yesterday and he got a good kick in the backside so he flew out the door. Sorry i cant say what direction he went but i hope the wind doesnt blow him right back at me. I have had so much time at the moment i dont know what to do with myself.
Well i am off to stitch in the sun. I will need to enjoy it while it last.
Friday, April 18, 2008
I"ve been stitiching
Yes this evening i have been stitching on the papilon As i have been working both one and two together i have now finished the left side the top and currently working my way down to the right side bottom. Yes yes i know i still have to do part three and now part four but at least now i am a step closer. :) I even managed the beads as well. another shock............ I might get around and post the completed section soon. Before i start part three.
Lots been happening
well found out that mum will start chemo on the May 1st and she will have three different cocktails one of them is the strongest one. Then every three weeks for 15 weeks. I think its startting to worry her now...... I told her before but would she listen no......... i saw my MIL go through it. so i dont know if its any better the second time around.
The bossy bitch she is HAS stated if i want her to come around my house has to be spotless....HAHAHAHAHA my house spotless. With what i have here that will be a bloody miracle and that miracle wont be happening any time soon, so i would say i wouldnt see her here. I cant understand why she gone this way but thats my mum for you.
Ok i am currently at the business end of my uni of the semester writing all those papers. argh last one i hope to write for this semester by this weekend.
Now with Dave we had the result in and its now going through the courts. cos the person made the recommendation on NO Doctors report. so its now going to court. On the bright side it loks like is old job at Stratco is on offer. Dave has to just pass a medical on Monday and then its talking turkey with the old boss. I have everything cross for this to work. Dave didnt take the result to well at all. His current employer isnt happy with me cos i took the calll and told him that we are talking about what he is doing and boss wasnt happy. I didnt want to reveal our hand until we have too its now been 3 days since that call. Cos even though its been over 14weeks his boss cant sack Dave until the medical certificate changes(wording) so we will play that at the moment...... Until he knows about Stratco. I know this is underhanded but hay..... Dave has been honest with his boss and the results make Dave as a lier. Oh by the way people dont work around the home just in case you might hurt yourself. Dave's injury is due to repetition and what he supposedly did at home did it. Dave's Birthday we had a oven dug in the ground a hungee(?) but the Kids did it over several nights for Dave something that they could do for the party. It wasnt that deep due to the soil here. the kids only got a spade deep and that was that. DAve just tidied up the corners and thats all. His boss believes Dave put the pool up WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL he got to be F********** KIDDING cos it was my father and myself that bloody did that in 40 plus degree heat over several days cos dear old DAVE was at work.
Also the report stated that there was NO other report prior to his accident in January well thats a F****** LOAD of BS cos we have and his boss knows that Dave had to have time off work for physio..(?) Even if it was at the end of the work day Dave had few mins off to make the appointment. So as you can see there is a court case happening..... even the lawyer was pissed so she is going to fight for us. Cos what we were arguing for was that his current job has increase the known bilateral carpal tunnel cos there was evidence of it been there 14yrs ago and it there hasnt been any reports until this job. Dave could have gone another 14yrs without any problems. So roll on court hearing. the gloves will be out and we will be fighting.
Well i saved the best news to last....... I am stitching again. Working on several pieces at the moment. The papilon is so slow. I am doing the specialty stitches i am wondering if its cos i am doing those stitches. I am working both part one and two together i still have to do part three and today i see that part four is out........ OH boy i better get my arse into gear quickly. maybe i will stitch more.
Also as a way for me to relax i am walking the dogs for short walks. They are bloody idiots. Rosie want to get all the children and round them up so she can control them. and jack wants to go his way and pulls both Rosie and me. He has some strength there. I am hoping the collars that i will be recieving will do the trick. I been told that they work. Here to those collars.
Ok this is long enough.
till next time happy stitiching

happy dance happy dance wahooo
I got a Distinction(?) for my university webquest assignment and no one higher that a D so i am cloud nine cos i have only received a D or a HD in group work but not on my own wahooooooooo happy dance and i did ask the tutor about taking off my assignment from the web you want to know what he said.......... drum roll please...........
To leave it there as there is no contemporary issues regards desalination on the web with aspects to Australia. So guess how that made me feel :) really really happy.
The good news still comes.... the SA Union lawyers have taken on Dave's case with Workcover first hearing this coming Wednesday. At least we now have someone looking out for us and that there is a case.
And the news still keeps on coming i had a call from my mum yesterday she doesnt have to see the specialist until Oct she only has to worry about the chemo now and hoping its will be still great news there... Know more Monday what type of chemo she will be having.
I got an extension on my next assignment so that helps heaps with me at the moment. I still have that hacking cough and now no voices students just love me. :) The next two weeks i dont have many students as it is school holidays here we cant do much however i can be resting for the return next term.

Going for free
I havent done any more stitching cos of this head cold. I need to get done the papilon how does your garden grow i am still stitching part 2. With that i found my correct thread for that and i am still having problems threading that Damned needle so at the moment i will leave the beading til later. We have the JA challenge up all i can say is :( i might just give up voting and go with the flow out of the last four month not one of my votes were the one that was decide to be used sob sob..... maybe next time..... but hay thats how my life been for the last four months nothing going to plan.
i have many of my students who qualify for the RAV now Evenstart are asking for me to sign up for it and they asking when can they start......... bloody hell i cant even sign up yet.... i think it will all happen over the term break. Well i better head back to the books and write this assignment thats due Friday opppps i need to get extension.
til next time enjoy stitching

Monday last day of March
Ok
well i have been busy getting my assignment done for uni yep its the webquest i hope i will do well it hasnt been easy doing it. I am happy with the overall results. I just have to do the conclusion and its all done.
It seems after my HUGE DUMMY SPIT things are now happening with Dave. I believe its cos it now in the hands of the Industrial Relation Tribunal. That happen last week and today in the mail we have a workcover letter. Only be it its the Insite letter but they seem to do the work. the case manager wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll and also Dave has to met the Insite team and boss to see what he can do at work on Thursday so fingers cross its a start and yes its a about bloody time.
Mum is nagging about the gene testing somehow i dont want to even go down that path at the moment
OH by the way i have a new name its Mrs Stress. LOL
I have for free going very cheap headaches. To tame the beast is to chew through several pain killers every couple of hours, oh and no glasses they dont work if anything they make you want to ........ yep you guessed it, hope to get a good night sleep with NO interruptions and able to work the following morning with no stress........ any takers
Oh Karen here is the picture of the pool, its now a cloudy blue. Its getting there.
I am about to sit in fron t of the tv and veg out maybe stitch on something i will let you know next time.
Thursday, March 27, 2008
A bad start or should say a conclusion the week
Some stitching done. I might sit down tonight to do some i might work on my ufo
Hmmmmmmm now for the crap news. YES i have thrown a HUGE DUMMY SPIT at this
Dave wont go back to work yet. cos he cant lift anything heavier than 25kgs and his job requires at least 70kg. Come Monday he can lose his job he has spoken to his boss he(boss) says that the job is his when he comes back we will see when that will happen. I am forcing Dave to get the rehab people to get his hands working yes he has lost the fine motor skills. The case is now with the Industrial Relations yes its now looking like court dates.............
Well after that the news dont get any better..... i have found out that my mum's breast cancer was class 2. number 3 is the worse one of them I should be thankful. More shocker news the lymph glands that they removed didnt score any better from the 20 they removed 16 had cancer with the percent rate of 80% that it could come back........... She will be having chemo for about 2yrs...... From what i understand 6mths chemo, 6weeks radiation something else them more chemo. ( i am thinking she will have one of the strongest chemo) her surgeon believes it shouldnt come back... not what she's having it wont want to come back........ :(
Well for my assignment i cant tell you how i went cos my tutor for that subject sent me home cos i was in such a mess... I present it next week. I am also going to see the counselor at Flinders to help with what happening around me. I am doing this partly to help my fellow team members so they dont suffer cos i am not up to scratch. And take the pressure off me..... lets hope.
Lets hope for a better week next week

Weekend almost finished :(
Julie the word RAV is an acronym it stands for Reading Assistant Voucher. It is something the Australian Federal Government done to try to raise the reading, writing and comprehension age of the children who fell below the National Benchmark. These children were given 13.5hrs of tuition on a one to one basis. One of the aims was to increase their reading age and to give a boast with their reading and comprehension. At the conclusion of the program last year they only targeted yr 3's then the Liberal Government introduced that in the following years they would also target yrs 5 and 7 then later the yr 9's (they do the LaN(Literacy and Numeracy test) in those years) but when they are tutored they are in the following year group. A this time they are including the numeracy into the program.
The new Labour Government has included it into their portfolio but i think it will only be for this year whilst the Liberal government said they were going to to it for the next 4 yrs. But it is different government now so who knows what they are going to do to improve the numeracy and literacy of Australian children. At least something was done to help the children to improve as there is getting a higher number of children leaving school who do not have high enough literacy and numeracy skills. Who knows what the new government going to do. I think they did this program this year cos of the up roar. This current government is putting money into high school so they are getting more computers.......... They are targeting the high school students. Guess who are the next generation of voters are going to be...... they will remember this government cos they got new computers..... politics you just got to love it or not...... in my opinion they are both a bunch of ************* . One puts Australia into debt and the other gets us out at our cost. Hard times either way you go.. But that politics for you.
Ok off the political bandwagon...... the RAV program last year with the amount of hours i did got us that swimming pool . yes that took several goes to get it up. Which is now at the moment a lovely shade of green :) No matter how much stuff we throw into it it not going back to clear water. We have shock it and no... still green. I might have to get flock it...... they told me the stuff that they gave was ok but NOooooooooooooo

end of week news
Get the easy stuff out the way
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE
First the issue with Dave. The other day after i wrote that post i decided to ring Workcover and have a HUGE dummy spit at them........ it seems that i have now stirred up a honest nest there. My complaint went to the right section and now his case manager could be in trouble hehehehe about bloody time. The lady i spoke to red flagged the case manage and it seems that she didnt get back to the complaints department so we wont know now until after Easter whats happening but hay this way as soon as we know Dave can get himself back to work.
Mum's operation went well. She is hoping to go home today, she wont know what type of Chemo she will be having until next Thursday along with the result of the biopsy. All I can say is now i wont complain about the cost of my bras no more mum's new bras will cost her over $350 each. Her first one are donated by the Breast Clinic and Myer so to them i thank you.
Some of you can remember the RAV program i did last year...... Yes i know yep they are asking for tutors again. I will do it however not to the stage like last year. This income might be useful with Dave not working.
I better get back to writing my assignments.
You all have a great Easter. Dont eat to many chocy eggs. :)

like the newspaper story........
March 18, 2008 12:05pm
ADELAIDE'S 15-day heatwave was a once in 3000-year occurrence, an atmospheric scientist says.
Adelaide has sweltered through 15 consecutive days above 35C in the longest heatwave recorded in any Australian capital city.
The heatwave ended today, with a milder 29C maximum forecast.
Atmospheric scientist Warwick Grace said the 15-day heatwave had a .03 per cent of occurring.
"The odds are about the same as tossing 12 coins and getting all heads or all tails," Dr Grace said today.
Dr Grace has been working with the South Australian Research and Development Institute climate applications unit to gain a better understanding of heatwaves in wine-growing regions of the state.
He has developed what is believed to be the first heatwave occurrence model, based on statewide dating back more than 100 years, and statistics from the past 30 years collected at the Bureau of Meteorology at Kent Town.
"This heatwave is close to being off the scale," he said.
"Adelaide, with 15 days over 35 degrees, returns a one in 3000-year event."
Dr Grace said Nuriootpa, in the Barossa Valley, recorded 13 days over 35 degrees - a one in 1000-year event, while Loxton in the state's Riverland had 15 days over 35 degrees which was a one in 200-year event.
Adelaide's 15-day heatwave surpassed the previous capital city heatwave record of Perth, which experienced 10 days over 35 degrees in February 1988.
The all-time national heatwave record was set in Marble Bar in northern Western Australia, which had 160 consecutive days at or above 37.8C (or 100 degrees fahrenheit) in the summer of 1923-24.
some bitching time
With my doctors appointment the questions were answered it seems that as my mum is currently going through the breast clinic she can have the gene testing done.If she has the gene then i will be tested but thats another day to worry about at the moment. However my GP thinks its to do with an age thing the older we get the more prone we are to cancer. by the time we are 80 ladies 1 in 8 will have had breast cancer.
The operation is for tomorrow will be seeing dad after i finish work tomorrow. my fingers are cross that it comes out fine.
Will let you all know then......
off to do some more bitching.........:)

some news.......
Mum's operation is 2 days away i think she is putting on a very brave face. I have my GP appointment tomorrow. I have a list of questions that could probably be a toilet roll paper long. LOL. I will see what happens there. Wont tell mum until after the operation.
On another side here is what been happening to our weather lately.
- Adelaide forecast record is in its 14th consecutive day maximum temperature has been above 35C continuing a record run for any capital city in Australia.
- The daily average maximum for March to date is 37C more than 10C above the average
- The overnight minimum of 30.2C broke March record of 29.7C in 1985
- Adelaide was the hottest place in SA on Thursday
- Adelaide's last rainfall was 1.8mm on Feb 25
- The hottest day in March was 40.2 on March 9. (taken from the Sunday Mail, March 16 2008).
Will get back to you when i know more about whats happening around me.

ok today was tough
Ok with Dave yes he is still off work until the 17thMarch until he see the surgeon as well. His boss is contesting his injury he is saying that Dave done it when he dug the hole for the Hunggy(?) for his Birthday...... sorry to tell him that bilateral Carpel Tunnel is not something that happens over night..... If Dave had it before we would have known about it but i believe his current job has aggravated it to the state it is. and thats what we are fighting for. Workcover has given this case to a mediator(?) because he shouldnt be sitting at home doing nothing. We saw them yesterday and that was interesting. They will be looking into O&HS and let me tell you unless he has done something between then and now there is none what so ever. BUT thats not my problem. It seem that Stratco want Dave back all they are waiting for is the clearance from the surgeon. So it means he will be able to move on. and arent i counting the days down. I am having to do sooooo much around here its getting harder for me to sit to even think.
Yes uni is back and with everything going on i am thinking HELP. i am only doing one topic but even thats hard enough i have to write 2 unit of work to teach students for 5 weeks so that if i am away someone can pick it up and teach that unit of work easy enough. Then i have to complete that other course...... yes i and hear those eyes roll there.
You know what i am going to do after i post this i am going to sit down in front of the tv and try to do my cross stitch......... i might post here what i done.
see you later.

Email sent to me. i had a good giggle
With the hectic lifestyles we all live this is just a little something to make us think.
Subject: Can I borrow $25.00?
A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year
old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'
The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolity's.'
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's
questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After
about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and
he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of
the little boy's room and opened the door. 'Are you asleep, son?' He asked. 'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy. 'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father. 'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he
begged for his forgiveness. It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily
replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave
behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.Remember tomorrow is not promised. Share some of your Quality time with those who you say mean something to you. It really doesn't cost a thing but in the eyes of a child or anyone who loves you... IT'S PRICELESS...
Its uni time again
Ok on the stitching front i have finished stitiching the Feb challenge but i have yet to make it up... It looks good i might have them both up together soon. LOL this month challenge was very very hard to decide from none took to my eye but hay the last two i voted for wasnt what i voted for anyway so i but this time cos i dont like any of them i will get the one i ended up voting for... isnt it the way thou' :) I have also been working on the How does your garden grow and i have been adding the beads as i go that is looking great after a short bit of frogging.

Dave is having a stress test tomorrow on his hands. I hope things go well there.... We might not know the results until his appointment in mid March.
Both my parents are having health issues first my dad About 20yrs ago he worked with wood in treating it CCA(Cooper, Chrome and Arsenic) and he still having problem with that stuff. He also had xrays on his feet cos he is limping and he also had blood works done but i think thats more routine and he also had an EGC(I think thats what it was)if its to do with the heart then yes....
And now my mum.... yesterday she found a huge leap in her breast. she had done, a mama gram, ultrasound and they took some tissue..... will know Wednesday on the results...... Fingers cross. I havent told Dave yet so dont say anything....cos i know he wont cope......... i even told my parent s that i havent told Dave... spoke to boss she thinks the same as me dont tell Dave yet.... after i know Wednesday i will tell him. If is the C word then my mum will be at me BIG time cos its in the family. TOUCH TOUCH GROPE GROPE nope nothing there. hehehehehehehehehehe I have to see the brighter side of life... At the moment if anything this is making me a stronger woman. And NO you arent canceling your trip here Anna i dont think it will make any difference........... If anything it will be fun and i can forget what is happening around me for the month and enjoy life.

16th Feb.
Well as you can see life or should i say work has been very busy for me in general. I havent been able to sit here at the computer much for the past week and a half. However at least with me working its paying the bills. With Dave we still dont know whats happening at least he now getting some income. Not very much at the moment but at least what he gets helps ( well i think it does). What he gets doesnt even cover a weeks shopping bill and that a fortnightly payment. We found out that his next appointment isnt until mid March due to 2 public holiday in March for us. think positive here Karen its not long now........ hmmmmmmm 4 weeks and counting.
I have been trying to do with all what has been going on is complete few like (about 6 :) ) assignments so i can say i have completed a introduction course to Child psychology. And what an interesting course that is not.............. :)
Ok onto my little world of cross stitching wellllll i am sad to say i havent touched any of my work. With the long hours i have been putting in i have just sat down in the chair and vegged out. I am hoping to get some done later today.
I hope everyone had a great Chinese New Year and that this year positive outcomes will happen for you.

I think i am half way there as they say on JA 10 stitches tonight is ten less stitches later on. so 10 buttons tonight is 10 less later on. hehehehehe i will continue with that project on a Friday night yep i am a naughty person doing it then when we have our weekly friends over. Ok off to stitch on something. It's UFO night on JA so i should do my UFO but who knows what i will get up to. Bye

Ok back to work after a long weekend. I have several cross stitch items i must upload. And no i haven't completed the finishing on January's monthly challenge. Ok Dave's hands are just black, blue and green yep lots of bruising and swelling as well. OH I might have a DH going cheap if he continues...........I'M BORED....... The little or should i say not so little rugrats are back to school today and it seems that they had a good day OH YAHHHHHHHHHHH. Sounds like Dale will enjoy his Tech this year. He has commented on a Female home group teacher. Who happens to be his SOSE teacher as well so that will be interesting. I hope he does better with his maths this year he is in advance maths and i would like him to succeed in it. Cecilia well she has one of her so called school friend complain about her skirt. I brought new this year it is a pencil line skirt it looks very smart. I believe the girl was jealous it seems that Cecilia handle it correctly. Maturity is finally happening there. Finally with Melissa there was no bad things that she could say except that she has a young male teacher. I bet there will be plenty of mum's looking at him LOL. So there ends their first day of the year.

the next day.........
Ok here goes yes its been a very busy day making heaps and heaps of phone calls between governments depts and other departments and we now know where we stand on Dave's job the next move will be by his boss. It's going to come down to what he says to what we do. There is the easy avenue or the hard way for his boss.
