That happen last week and today in the mail we have a workcover letter. Only be it its the Insite letter but they seem to do the work. the case manager wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll and also Dave has to met the Insite team and boss to see what he can do at work on Thursday so fingers cross its a start and yes its a about bloody time.
Mum is nagging about the gene testing somehow i dont want to even go down that path at the moment
OH by the way i have a new name its Mrs Stress. LOL
I have for free going very cheap headaches. To tame the beast is to chew through several pain killers every couple of hours, oh and no glasses they dont work if anything they make you want to ........ yep you guessed it, hope to get a good night sleep with NO interruptions and able to work the following morning with no stress........ any takers

A bad start or should say a conclusion the week
Some stitching done. I might sit down tonight to do some i might work on my ufo
Hmmmmmmm now for the crap news. YES i have thrown a HUGE DUMMY SPIT at this
Dave wont go back to work yet. cos he cant lift anything heavier than 25kgs and his job requires at least 70kg. Come Monday he can lose his job he has spoken to his boss he(boss) says that the job is his when he comes back we will see when that will happen. I am forcing Dave to get the rehab people to get his hands working yes he has lost the fine motor skills. The case is now with the Industrial Relations yes its now looking like court dates.............
Well after that the news dont get any better..... i have found out that my mum's breast cancer was class 2. number 3 is the worse one of them I should be thankful. More shocker news the lymph glands that they removed didnt score any better from the 20 they removed 16 had cancer with the percent rate of 80% that it could come back........... She will be having chemo for about 2yrs...... From what i understand 6mths chemo, 6weeks radiation something else them more chemo. ( i am thinking she will have one of the strongest chemo) her surgeon believes it shouldnt come back... not what she's having it wont want to come back........ :(
Well for my assignment i cant tell you how i went cos my tutor for that subject sent me home cos i was in such a mess... I present it next week. I am also going to see the counselor at Flinders to help with what happening around me. I am doing this partly to help my fellow team members so they dont suffer cos i am not up to scratch. And take the pressure off me..... lets hope.
Lets hope for a better week next week
Oh before i sign off want to see the lovely shade of green the pool is....hmmm must be on the camera still oh well next time

Weekend almost finished :(
Julie the word RAV is an acronym it stands for Reading Assistant Voucher. It is something the Australian Federal Government done to try to raise the reading, writing and comprehension age of the children who fell below the National Benchmark. These children were given 13.5hrs of tuition on a one to one basis. One of the aims was to increase their reading age and to give a boast with their reading and comprehension. At the conclusion of the program last year they only targeted yr 3's then the Liberal Government introduced that in the following years they would also target yrs 5 and 7 then later the yr 9's (they do the LaN(Literacy and Numeracy test) in those years) but when they are tutored they are in the following year group. A this time they are including the numeracy into the program.
The new Labour Government has included it into their portfolio but i think it will only be for this year whilst the Liberal government said they were going to to it for the next 4 yrs. But it is different government now so who knows what they are going to do to improve the numeracy and literacy of Australian children. At least something was done to help the children to improve as there is getting a higher number of children leaving school who do not have high enough literacy and numeracy skills. Who knows what the new government going to do. I think they did this program this year cos of the up roar. This current government is putting money into high school so they are getting more computers.......... They are targeting the high school students. Guess who are the next generation of voters are going to be...... they will remember this government cos they got new computers..... politics you just got to love it or not...... in my opinion they are both a bunch of ************* . One puts Australia into debt and the other gets us out at our cost. Hard times either way you go.. But that politics for you.
Ok off the political bandwagon...... the RAV program last year with the amount of hours i did got us that swimming pool . yes that took several goes to get it up. Which is now at the moment a lovely shade of green :) No matter how much stuff we throw into it it not going back to clear water. We have shock it and no... still green. I might have to get flock it...... they told me the stuff that they gave was ok but NOooooooooooooo

end of week news
Get the easy stuff out the way
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE
First the issue with Dave. The other day after i wrote that post i decided to ring Workcover and have a HUGE dummy spit at them........ it seems that i have now stirred up a honest nest there. My complaint went to the right section and now his case manager could be in trouble hehehehe about bloody time. The lady i spoke to red flagged the case manage and it seems that she didnt get back to the complaints department so we wont know now until after Easter whats happening but hay this way as soon as we know Dave can get himself back to work.
Mum's operation went well. She is hoping to go home today, she wont know what type of Chemo she will be having until next Thursday along with the result of the biopsy. All I can say is now i wont complain about the cost of my bras no more mum's new bras will cost her over $350 each. Her first one are donated by the Breast Clinic and Myer so to them i thank you.
Some of you can remember the RAV program i did last year...... Yes i know yep they are asking for tutors again. I will do it however not to the stage like last year. This income might be useful with Dave not working.
I better get back to writing my assignments.
You all have a great Easter. Dont eat to many chocy eggs. :)

like the newspaper story........
March 18, 2008 12:05pm
ADELAIDE'S 15-day heatwave was a once in 3000-year occurrence, an atmospheric scientist says.
Adelaide has sweltered through 15 consecutive days above 35C in the longest heatwave recorded in any Australian capital city.
The heatwave ended today, with a milder 29C maximum forecast.
Atmospheric scientist Warwick Grace said the 15-day heatwave had a .03 per cent of occurring.
"The odds are about the same as tossing 12 coins and getting all heads or all tails," Dr Grace said today.
Dr Grace has been working with the South Australian Research and Development Institute climate applications unit to gain a better understanding of heatwaves in wine-growing regions of the state.
He has developed what is believed to be the first heatwave occurrence model, based on statewide dating back more than 100 years, and statistics from the past 30 years collected at the Bureau of Meteorology at Kent Town.
"This heatwave is close to being off the scale," he said.
"Adelaide, with 15 days over 35 degrees, returns a one in 3000-year event."
Dr Grace said Nuriootpa, in the Barossa Valley, recorded 13 days over 35 degrees - a one in 1000-year event, while Loxton in the state's Riverland had 15 days over 35 degrees which was a one in 200-year event.
Adelaide's 15-day heatwave surpassed the previous capital city heatwave record of Perth, which experienced 10 days over 35 degrees in February 1988.
The all-time national heatwave record was set in Marble Bar in northern Western Australia, which had 160 consecutive days at or above 37.8C (or 100 degrees fahrenheit) in the summer of 1923-24.
some bitching time
With my doctors appointment the questions were answered it seems that as my mum is currently going through the breast clinic she can have the gene testing done.If she has the gene then i will be tested but thats another day to worry about at the moment. However my GP thinks its to do with an age thing the older we get the more prone we are to cancer. by the time we are 80 ladies 1 in 8 will have had breast cancer.
The operation is for tomorrow will be seeing dad after i finish work tomorrow. my fingers are cross that it comes out fine.
Will let you all know then......
off to do some more bitching.........:)

some news.......
Mum's operation is 2 days away i think she is putting on a very brave face. I have my GP appointment tomorrow. I have a list of questions that could probably be a toilet roll paper long. LOL. I will see what happens there. Wont tell mum until after the operation.
On another side here is what been happening to our weather lately.
- Adelaide forecast record is in its 14th consecutive day maximum temperature has been above 35C continuing a record run for any capital city in Australia.
- The daily average maximum for March to date is 37C more than 10C above the average
- The overnight minimum of 30.2C broke March record of 29.7C in 1985
- Adelaide was the hottest place in SA on Thursday
- Adelaide's last rainfall was 1.8mm on Feb 25
- The hottest day in March was 40.2 on March 9. (taken from the Sunday Mail, March 16 2008).
Will get back to you when i know more about whats happening around me.

Wednesday, March 5, 2008
ok today was tough
Ok with Dave yes he is still off work until the 17thMarch until he see the surgeon as well. His boss is contesting his injury he is saying that Dave done it when he dug the hole for the Hunggy(?) for his Birthday...... sorry to tell him that bilateral Carpel Tunnel is not something that happens over night..... If Dave had it before we would have known about it but i believe his current job has aggravated it to the state it is. and thats what we are fighting for. Workcover has given this case to a mediator(?) because he shouldnt be sitting at home doing nothing. We saw them yesterday and that was interesting. They will be looking into O&HS and let me tell you unless he has done something between then and now there is none what so ever. BUT thats not my problem. It seem that Stratco want Dave back all they are waiting for is the clearance from the surgeon. So it means he will be able to move on. and arent i counting the days down. I am having to do sooooo much around here its getting harder for me to sit to even think.
Yes uni is back and with everything going on i am thinking HELP. i am only doing one topic but even thats hard enough i have to write 2 unit of work to teach students for 5 weeks so that if i am away someone can pick it up and teach that unit of work easy enough. Then i have to complete that other course...... yes i and hear those eyes roll there.
You know what i am going to do after i post this i am going to sit down in front of the tv and try to do my cross stitch......... i might post here what i done.
see you later.
